Privacy Policy

Effective September 12, 2026. Taskperience can be used on your device without an account. Signing in enables optional cloud progress protection and referral features. This policy explains what information the app and website handle and the choices available to you.

PRIVACY DETAILS

Information handled by the app

Taskperience handles the tasks, notes, reminders, Boundary plans, progress, and preferences you add. An optional account can sync progress to a private cloud archive and enable referrals. Purchases are verified through Apple; optional sign-in, notifications, profile photos, and support requests use the services described below.

How Taskperience Handles Your Data

Information you provide

Taskperience can store your profile name and optional profile picture; tasks, schedules, notes, reminders, focus activity, Boundaries, check-ins, optional support contacts and coping plans, progress, achievements, rewards, and app preferences. Some information you choose to enter may be sensitive. If you sign in, we also process the account identifier and information supplied by your chosen sign-in method, such as an email address. Existing saved data may contain a username from an earlier app version; the current app does not ask you to create or edit one.

Device-only use and optional cloud progress

Taskperience saves progress on your device. You can use the app without signing in. In that mode, Taskperience does not upload your progress archive to its cloud service. Apple may include app data in a device or iCloud backup according to your settings.

If you sign in, Taskperience uses Firebase Authentication for your account and Firebase Firestore to store a private progress archive associated with it. The archive can contain the app information listed above, including an optional resized profile picture. Changes sync automatically when available. If device and cloud progress differ, the app asks you which copy to keep. Data is protected in transit. Authorized service operators may access account data when needed to operate, secure, or support the service.

Referrals and device eligibility

If you participate in referrals, Taskperience stores referral codes, account identifiers, redemption attempts and outcomes, reward counts, and promotional Premium expiration. Both people receive seven Premium days for an eligible referral. A referrer can receive rewards for up to three successful referrals, and one referral offer may be redeemed per eligible physical Apple device. Taskperience uses Apple's DeviceCheck service to verify device eligibility and reduce repeat redemption. Uncertain verification may require support review.

Purchases and promotional access

Monthly and annual Premium subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple's App Store. Apple processes payment and billing information under its terms and privacy policy. Taskperience reads verified subscription status to provide Premium access and does not receive or store your full payment-card details. Manage or cancel a paid subscription in your Apple Account settings. Referral rewards and eligible offer codes may also grant promotional Premium access; the terms of any offer appear during redemption.

Photos, notifications, sharing, and support

Apple's photo picker lets you choose a profile picture. Taskperience processes the selected image for your profile and does not scan your photo library. The image remains in device data and, if you sign in, may sync as part of your cloud archive.

If you enable notifications, the app schedules task, reminder, day-start, and Boundary alerts through Apple's notification system. Private previews are enabled by default so task, reminder, and Boundary names are not placed in notification text. You can change this in app settings or disable notifications in iOS Settings.

If you choose to share a referral or progress summary, or contact support, the information you send is handled by the recipient and the system app or service you use. If you submit the website contact form, the information you enter is used to respond to your inquiry.

Service providers and website information

Taskperience uses Firebase services for account sign-in, cloud progress, and referrals; Apple services for sign-in, DeviceCheck, purchases, notifications, and optional backups; and Google sign-in if you choose it. These providers handle information under their applicable privacy policies. When you visit taskperience.com, the hosting and website services may process technical information such as your IP address and server logs to deliver and protect the site.

Taskperience does not sell app information or use it for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising.

Retention and deletion

Device data remains until you edit or delete it using available controls, reset local app data, or delete the app. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device, subject to Apple-managed backups. Signing out stops cloud synchronization but retains device progress.

Signed-in users can request account deletion in Account settings. Account deletion removes sign-in access. Contact help@taskperience.com to request removal of related cloud data and receive confirmation of its status. Shared referral records may retain non-identifying information needed to preserve other people's rewards and prevent duplicate claims. Apple's DeviceCheck eligibility bit may remain set to prevent repeat use. Deleting the account does not erase progress kept on this device; use the local reset control separately. Contact help@taskperience.com if you need assistance with deletion.

Your choices

You may use the app without an account, choose or remove an optional profile picture, change notification settings, avoid optional referral and sharing features, manage your Apple subscription, delete content using available controls, and request account deletion.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Taskperience changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. For privacy questions, contact help@taskperience.com.
